Meopta MeoAce 5×40 Sight

Description

Aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum monotubes enclose the Meopta MeoAce 5×40 Sight engineered for medium-range target engagement on tactical carbines. Featuring 5x fixed prism magnification, a 40mm objective, and an illuminated ballistic reticle, this sight provides 70 MOA adjustment. Fixed prism optics guarantee sharp reticle definition, though the fixed 5x power restricts situational awareness inside 15 yards.

Machined from high-strength aluminum alloy, the armored prism chassis protects internal glass assemblies against heavy mechanical impacts. European prism glass receives proprietary MeoBright multi-coatings for maximum twilight light transmission and contrast. Measuring 6.7 inches and weighing 21.2 ounces, this Meopta tactical sight features nitrogen gas purging that meets IP67 waterproof standards under wet field conditions.

Key Features of Meopta MeoAce 5×40

Military marksmen buy Meopta MeoAce 5×40 sight optics to bridge close-quarters defensive shooting with precise mid-range carbine fire. The etched illuminated reticle remains fully functional even in the event of battery exhaustion.

• Rugged aircraft aluminum prism chassis resists severe tactical impacts and drops
• 5x fixed magnification brings mid-range targets into sharp tactical focus
• 40mm objective lens gathers abundant light for twilight target identification
• 1/2 MOA tactical adjustment turrets provide positive audible click detents
• MeoAce 5×40 Sight illuminated ballistic reticle includes rapid rangefinding stadia lines
• Etched glass reticle remains visible in black outline without battery power
• Top-mounted Picatinny accessory rail accommodates secondary mini reflex sights
• Integral dual-bolt Picatinny mount clamps receiver rails with rigid alignment

Internal Erector Dynamics

The fixed prism erector core uses mechanical screw assemblies that resist reticle movement through 1000G recoil cycles on .308 Winchester rifles. Adjustment clicks deliver precise 1/2 MOA values with tracking error kept below 1 percent across the entire 70 MOA travel spectrum. Operating reliably between -20°F and 140°F, this MeoAce 5×40 system prevents point-of-impact shift during extreme tactical weather deployments.

Rifle Fitment Metrics

The integrated receiver base requires 3.8 inches of Picatinny rail space on AR-15 or AR-10 flat-top upper receivers. Torque dual base mount nuts to 40 in-lbs to guarantee zero retention. The optic provides 2.6 inches of eye relief suited for tactical carbines, while the integrated mount aligns the optical centerline at standard AR height.

Tactical Handling Protocols

Rotary illumination knobs allow swift brightness selection across daylight and night settings without complex button sequences. This fixed-power prism optic is not engineered for long-range precision target shooting past 600 yards, nor for fast room entry where 1x reflex sights perform best.

• Brush exterior prism lenses with camel hair optical brushes each deployment
• Inspect dual mounting rail clamp bolts with a calibrated wrench every 250 rounds
• Replace illumination batteries and inspect rubber dial gaskets every 12 months
