It features an upper LED epi-fluorescence illuminator tower equipped with four empty filter cube slots, allowing laboratories to drop in custom excitation filters tailored to specific diagnostic assays. It delivers 40x, 100x, 400x, and 1000x magnification via four IOS W-PLAN Plan-Achromatic objectives: 4x, 10x, spring-loaded 40x, and spring-loaded 100x oil immersion.
Transmitted brightfield light is powered by a patented X-LED8 8W white LED module paired with a full Köhler field iris diaphragm and a swing-out Abbe condenser (NA 1.25), matching a 100W halogen bulb in brightness while running completely cool. The 30-degree inclined trinocular head incorporates extra-widefield high-eyepoint WF 10x/22 mm eyepieces and an overhead vertical photo port with a selectable 100:0 visual / 0:100 camera beam splitter.
