Steiner 8700-MPS Micro Pistol Sight (Black)

Description

Aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum monotubes enclose the Steiner 8700-MPS Micro Sight built for rugged duty handguns and tactical carbines. Featuring a 1x micro window, 3.3 MOA red dot, and an enclosed emitter chassis in black, this reflex sight provides unlimited eye relief. The all-metal enclosed housing protects internal electronics, though direct slide mounting requires compatible ACRO footprint cuts.

Constructed from all-metal aircraft-grade aluminum, the armored unibody housing isolates internal electronic diodes from violent slide cycling forces. Multi-coated optical glass surfaces deliver high light transmission across visible color spectrums without blue tinting. Measuring 2.1 inches in length and weighing 2.05 ounces, this Steiner micro reflex sight contains silicone gasket seals that meet IPX7 waterproof immersion standards.

Key Features of Steiner 8700-MPS Black

Duty officers buy Steiner 8700-MPS sight optics to secure enclosed red dot reliability under severe rain, mud, and dust exposure. The top-mounted battery compartment allows cell replacement without removing the sight from the firearm.

• All-metal armored chassis survives severe drops and violent slide cycling shock
• 1x non-magnified reflex profile provides complete situational awareness while firing
• 3.3 MOA red dot aiming point speeds close-quarters shot acquisition on steel targets
• 1 MOA elevation and windage adjusters provide firm tactile clicks during zeroing
• Steiner 8700-MPS sight features eight brightness settings including night vision modes
• Enclosed emitter housing prevents dirt and moisture from blocking the LED beam
• Top-mounted battery compartment simplifies CR1632 cell replacement
• Direct ACRO footprint compatibility clamps duty pistol slides with rigid retention

Slide Recoil Integrity

Hardened diode housings and internal prism carriers absorb 1500G recoil forces on 9mm and 10mm Auto pistols without shifting reticle zero. Elevation and windage screws provide crisp 1 MOA adjustments with precision tracking within 1 percent. The internal electronic system operates from -20°F to 140°F, preventing electrical cut-out during sub-zero field deployments.

Slide Mounting Interface

The sight base clamps directly onto standard ACRO footprint slide cuts or adapter plates with tight mechanical engagement. Fasten side cross-bolt mounting screws to 25 in-lbs using medium thread locker. The optic maintains a slim profile suited for standard duty holsters, while the 2.05-ounce weight prevents slide short-stroking malfunctions.

Stand Field Operation

Side-mounted illumination push buttons allow rapid intensity adjustments with gloved fingers during tactical drills. This rugged combat micro sight is not engineered for long-range precision rifle shooting past 100 yards, nor for hunting small varmints at extended distances.

• Wipe carbon fouling off lens glass using optical microfiber wipes every 200 rounds
• Confirm mounting clamp screw torque with a precision hand driver every 500 rounds
• Replace internal CR1632 coin batteries and inspect compartment seals every 12 months

Steiner Warranty Summary

Steiner covers the micro red dot sight with a comprehensive 2-year electronic warranty alongside lifetime structural support on chassis integrity. Unboxing reveals the enclosed reflex optic, CR1632 lithium battery, adjustment tool, cleaning cloth, and field manual.
