Bushnell 3-12×42 Engage Riflescope (Deploy MOA Reticle)

Description

Tested 1000G magnum shock resistance arrives with the Bushnell 3-12×42 Engage Riflescope, featuring a Deploy MOA reticle, locking target turrets, and EXO Barrier lens coatings. Engineered for mid-range hunting and steel plate shooting, it delivers 50 MOA total elevation travel with 1/4 MOA clicks, providing rugged weather resistance while requiring second focal plane math adjustments.

Crafted from a one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum chassis, the 30mm tube isolates internal erector mechanics from rough field abuse. Multi-coated optical glass elements feature molecularly bonded EXO Barrier coatings that repel water, oil, dust, and debris. Nitrogen gas purging prevents internal moisture hazards across humid woodlands, meeting IPX7 waterproof standards. Weighing 19.3 ounces at 13.0 inches long, this optic balances centerfire rifles, driving the Bushnell Engage hunting scope line.

Key Features of Bushnell 3-12×42 Engage

Field hunters buy Bushnell 3-12×42 Engage scopes to secure dependable zero retention across inclement weather environments. The tool-free locking turrets stay firmly anchored until lifted for deliberate ballistic corrections.

• 42mm objective lens gathers abundant ambient light while maintaining low receiver mounting clearance
• 3-12x magnification range covers dense timber shooting and 500-yard open ridge shots
• 1/4 MOA locking target turrets deliver audible clicks that prevent accidental rotation
• 50 MOA internal elevation stroke allows versatile trajectory compensation on hunting calibers
• Second focal plane Deploy MOA reticle features 1 MOA windage and elevation hashmarks
• EXO Barrier lens protection repels rain droplets and field dust from optical glass
• Engage hunting riflescope erector components maintain zero through heavy centerfire recoil
• Side parallax focus dial eliminates image blur from 10 yards out to infinity

Engage Turret Mechanical Tracking Limits

Balanced steel erector springs hold the optical cell in true alignment through extended field shooting sessions. The 1/4 MOA adjustments track true within 1 percent across the 50 MOA elevation range, preventing mechanical backlash. Rated for 1000G recoil forces, the internal glass reticle withstands repeated firing from heavy hunting calibers like .30-06 Springfield. Operational thermal ranges extend from -20°F to 140°F, preserving smooth parallax rotation and nitrogen seal integrity across sudden seasonal storms.

Engage Chassis Scope Ring Placement

Mounting this 30mm tube requires 5.5 inches of receiver bridge space, fitting short and long action bolt guns with ease. Medium 30mm rings ensure the 42mm objective bell clears sporter and medium contour barrels on flat rails. Fasten ring cap screws to 15 to 18 in-lbs and base clamps to 40 to 45 in-lbs. Eye relief sits at 3.6 inches, offering comfortable brow protection.

Mid Range Usability Maintenance Protocol

The toolless turret lock lifts smooth for adjustments and pushes down firm to secure setting. This second focal plane optic is not engineered for dynamic room clearing or brush snap-shooting inside 15 yards where non-magnified red dots dominate. Practice disciplined optical maintenance to preserve clean glass.

• Remove grit from objective lenses with a camel-hair brush every 150 rounds
• Recheck mount screws with an accurate torque wrench every 250 rounds
• Clean external turret threads and wipe down moisture barriers every 12 months
