Powered by an infinity-corrected IOS optical train, it provides 40x, 100x, 400x, and 1000x magnification via four IOS N-PLAN plan-achromatic objectives: 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, spring-loaded 40x/0.65, and spring-loaded 100x/1.25 oil immersion. Planchromatic correction eliminates spherical curvature across the 20 mm field of view, keeping cellular boundaries sharp right up to the perimeter.
Its 216 x 150 mm double-layer mechanical stage features an enclosed belt-driven movement mechanism (78 x 54 mm XY travel), eliminating exposed metal gear racks for smooth, snag-free slide navigation.
