Barska 8×32 Level ED Waterproof Binoculars (Black)

Description

Offering an agile 17.6-ounce footprint, the Barska 8×32 Level ED Waterproof Binoculars (Black) produces a 409.5-foot field of view at 1000 yards (7.8-degree actual). The 4mm exit pupil and 15.6mm eye relief allow rapid target acquisition. Twilight viewing dims earlier than with full-sized 42mm optics, making proper pupil alignment essential after sundown.

Extra-low dispersion (ED) objective lenses feed phase-corrected BaK-4 roof prisms treated with fully multi-coated anti-reflection layers. Encased in non-slip black rubber armor, the chassis weighs 17.6 oz (499 g). Nitrogen purged and sealed against moisture, it incorporates a central focus wheel tracking down to 6.6 feet (2 m), a right-eye diopter ring, twist-up eyecups, and front 1/4-20 tripod adapter threading.

Key Features of Barska 8×32 Level ED Waterproof Binoculars (Black)

Designed for traveling birders and lightweight day hikers who prioritize wide scanning fields over heavy front glass. The 7.8-degree angle provides ample situational awareness for tracking erratic songbirds through thick tree canopies.

• 8x magnification through 32mm objective lenses with a 4mm exit pupil
• Phase-corrected BaK-4 roof prisms for enhanced optical contrast
• Extra-low dispersion (ED) objective glass elements reducing color fringing
• Wide 409.5 ft field of view at 1000 yd (7.8-degree actual angle)
• 15.6mm eye relief paired with twist-up rubber eyecups
• 6.6-foot close focus distance suited for near-range butterfly inspection
• Nitrogen gas purged and sealed chassis with protective black rubber armor
• Lightweight 17.6 oz body with front tripod adapter socket

ED Optical Elements & Wide-Angle Geometry

Front ED lenses curb lateral chromatic aberration, preventing purple halos along high-contrast tree branches. The optical design delivers crisp center-field definition, though the wide 7.8-degree field width introduces minor field curvature and slight softness near the extreme outer margins.

Compact Chassis & Mechanical Control

The compact frame reduces neck strain during all-day field excursions, sliding easily into jacket pockets. The knurled center focus wheel rotates with even mechanical drag, allowing fast focal sweeps from close brush out to infinity without deadband.

• Knurled center focus wheel delivers smooth, backlash-free adjustment in cold weather
• Nitrogen-filled seals prevent internal lens fogging during sudden mountain temperature shifts
• Twist-up eyecups feature distinct detents to maintain correct eye relief for all observers
