Bresser Junior AC 60/700 AZ Silver Telescope

Description

Surviving a child’s first backyard outing, the Bresser Junior AC 60/700 AZ Silver Telescope is built for a first-time young astronomer, pairing simple alt-azimuth pointing with three eyepieces spanning 35x to 175x — enough range to grow from first Moon looks into closer planetary views without buying more gear right away.

The included hard carrying case and accessory tray keep this kit organized for a young owner, and the vertical fine adjustment rod on the mount makes small pointing corrections easy for smaller hands, without the fuss of an equatorial mount’s polar alignment. The 1.5x erecting lens also means this scope doubles for daytime nature viewing, giving a young owner more reasons to use it beyond clear nights alone.

Key Features of Bresser Junior AC 60/700 AZ Silver Telescope

A 60mm achromatic objective at f/11.7 resolves down to 1.93 arcseconds, reaching a limiting magnitude of 11.0 for solid first views of the Moon and bright planets.

• Alt-azimuth single fork with a vertical fine adjustment rod simplifies pointing for younger users
• Three eyepieces included, spanning 35x to 175x, cover first looks through closer detail
• 1.5x erecting lens corrects the image for comfortable terrestrial viewing too
• 90-degree star diagonal keeps neck strain out of longer sessions
• Hard carrying case keeps the whole kit organized between uses
• 5×24 optical finder scope helps a first-time user locate targets before the main eyepiece
• Durable build tolerates the handling a first telescope typically receives from a child

What Sets the Junior Silver Apart

The optics and mount here are shared with the Arcturus AZ elsewhere in this catalog — what distinguishes the Junior Silver is its framing for a young first-time observer, with the included hard case built for a kit that gets carried to a friend’s yard or a school event.

Applications & Use Cases

Built as an entry-level manual observation package, this telescope suits young observers doing simple terrestrial tracking and introductory lunar and planetary looks with adult supervision as needed.

• Parents introducing a child to their first telescope
• School or scout programs needing a durable, simple first scope
• Families wanting a case-included kit that travels well
