Bresser AC 90/900 Messier EXOS-1 Telescope

Description

Upgrading eyepiece compatibility in one purchase, the Bresser AC 90/900 Messier EXOS-1 Telescope pairs the same 90mm long-focus achromat as the OTA version in this line with a full manual EXOS-1 equatorial mount — and unlike the OTA’s basic 1.25-inch zenith mirror, this bundle steps up to a 2-inch format for wider-field eyepiece options.

At f/10 and up to 180x, a steady mount earns its keep quickly: the EXOS-1’s stainless tripod and flexible-shaft controls keep a planet settled in the eyepiece rather than drifting or jittering after each adjustment. The included counterweight also balances the tube correctly the moment it’s mounted, so there’s no trial-and-error involved in getting a first session set up correctly.

Key Features of Bresser AC 90/900 Messier EXOS-1 Telescope

A manual German equatorial mount with a 2-inch zenith mirror upgrades this tube’s eyepiece compatibility beyond the bare OTA version, a real advantage for anyone planning to grow their eyepiece collection.

• Manual flexible shafts track a target smoothly by hand once polar-aligned
• 2-inch zenith mirror accepts wider-field eyepieces the OTA version’s 1.25-inch mirror can’t
• Stainless steel field tripod stays steady at magnifications up to 180x
• Included counterweight balances the tube properly once mounted
• 6×30 optical finder scope speeds up target acquisition in the dark
• Included 26mm Super Plossl eyepiece delivers 34x magnification right out of the box
• Ready-to-observe kit avoids the need to source a compatible mount separately

Why Choose the EXOS-1 Over the OTA

Against the bare OTA version of this tube, the EXOS-1 bundle solves the mount question and upgrades the eyepiece format in one purchase — a complete, ready-to-observe setup rather than optics alone.

Applications & Use Cases

Built for manual right-ascension tracking, this telescope suits lunar geology and planetary disk observation on a firm mechanical equatorial mount ready from the first night.

• First-time buyers wanting a complete long-focus planetary setup
• Observers who want 2-inch eyepiece compatibility from day one
• Anyone who values a ready-to-use kit over assembling parts separately
