Celestron Ultima 100 22-66x100mm Waterproof Spotting Scope (Straight Viewing)

Description

Track distant targets from shooting mats using Celestron Ultima Spotting Scope hardware, combining a massive 100mm multicoated objective with a straight optical body and an integrated 22-66x zoom ocular. Sized for precision marksmen, range officers, and nature spotters, it delivers direct optical alignment behind benchrest setups. The 72-ounce chassis provides great stability, though straight viewing requires deliberate tripod height matching for seated glassing.

A durable aluminum and composite chassis enclosed in protective green rubber armor encloses the internal Porro-prism pathways and zoom mechanisms. The 100mm objective lens features multicoated optical glass elements that push daylight light transmission past 88 percent. Nitrogen purging delivers IPX7 submersible waterproofing down to 3 feet. This Celestron straight spotting scope spans 19 inches in length, delivering rigid durability across demanding match conditions.

Key Features of Celestron Ultima

Order the Celestron Ultima precision rifle optics system to eliminate elevation holdover calculation delays on long shots. This proven optic combines crisp German optical purity with an accurate laser rangefinder core.

• 100mm objective lens gathers immense light for twilight game observation and shot spotting
• Straight viewing configuration allows rapid target acquisition from prone shooting mats
• 22-66x optical zoom eyepiece renders fine antler details and distant bullet holes with speed
• Built-in sight tube aids swift preliminary alignment onto distant targets without magnification
• Ultima spotting scope platform features multi-coated glass elements to minimize optical glare
• Rubber-armored weather-resistant frame withstands rough vehicle transit across washboard roads
• Waterproof nitrogen-purged interior prevents internal glass fogging during sudden freezes

Optical Resolution Physical Performance Metrics

The massive 100mm optical system provides high resolution on distant targets, resolving subtle bullet trace on steel plates past 1000 yards. Light transmission reaches 88 percent, providing bright contrast during dim sunset glassing sessions. Operating across 14°F to 122°F, the mechanical focus drive holds fluid resistance without backlash. Internal shock proofing shields sensitive prism mountings against jarring vehicle transport.

Chassis Placement Tripod Mounting Parameters

The machined mounting foot fits standard 1/4-20 tripod adapter plates for rock-solid stability during extended glassing sessions. The straight barrel layout allows intuitive target tracking from shooting mats behind prone marksmen. The slender chassis silhouette slips into field pack side sleeves without snagging.

Field Handling Usability Filter Boundaries

The smooth central focus knob allows fast focal sweeps with minimal torque across close focus out to infinity. The captive zoom ocular collar rotates with firm mechanical friction. This massive 100mm straight spotting scope is not engineered for mobile mountain backpack hunting where ultralight 50mm compact scopes rule pack weight.

• Clean external objective glass surfaces using optical solution and micro-cloths after each hunt
• Inspect tripod mounting foot screws for tightness before setting up on shooting benches
• Store the scope module within its padded soft-sided field case between outdoor excursions
