Sightron 1-6×24 S6 SFP Riflescope (IR4A Reticle, Matte Black)

Description

Tested 1000G magnum shock resistance arrives with Sightron 1-6×24 S6 SFP Riflescope units equipped with the German IR4A reticle for fast driven game hunting. Utilizing a 30mm tube, 0.1 MRAD clicks, and 40 MRAD elevation travel, this optic incorporates a daylight-bright center dot. True 1x power allows rapid dual-eye snap shooting, though holdovers require visual estimation past 300 yards.

Forged from one-piece 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, the 30mm main tube prevents flex under heavy rifle recoil cycles. Japanese optical glass features anti-reflective multi-coatings for exceptional light throughput across visible color spectrums. Measuring 10.9 inches and weighing 17.6 ounces, this Sightron hunting riflescope contains pressurized nitrogen gas that prevents internal fogging in freezing rain.

Key Features of Sightron 1-6×24 IR4A

Driven game hunters buy Sightron 1-6×24 S6 riflescope packages to acquire fast-moving game across narrow forest firebreaks. The illuminated German four reticle guides shooter eyes directly onto center target mass.

• 30mm aircraft-grade aluminum tube accommodates 40 MRAD of internal adjustment
• 1-6x zoom magnification range allows rapid shot placement across variable targets
• 24mm objective lens delivers an expansive field of view for fast tracking
• 0.1 MRAD low-profile capped turrets provide secure zero retention during rugged travel
• 1-6×24 S6 IR4A illuminated reticle provides an unobstructed view of moving game
• Second focal plane construction keeps crosshair thickness consistent at 1x speed
• Fixed 100-yard parallax setting eliminates turret complexity on driven game rifles
• Multi-coated Japanese glass surfaces shed glare and external reflections cleanly

Erector Tracking Calibration

ExacTrack erector springs maintain continuous pressure on the adjustment assembly, delivering tracking accuracy within 1 percent over 40 MRAD of elevation travel. Engineered to sustain 1000G recoil forces, this Sightron platform handles magnum rifle recoil without shifting mechanical zero. The internal mechanism remains functionally stable from -20°F to 140°F, preventing click detent slippage during cold morning hunts.

Rifle Fitment Metrics

Providing 5.6 inches of ring mounting area, this optic easily bridges standard cantilever mounts on flat-top AR upper receivers and bolt-action hunting rifles. Torque ring caps to 16 in-lbs, and tighten base rail screws to 40 in-lbs. The 3.6-inch eye relief protects against recoil movement, while the 24mm straight tube profile fits ultra-low mounts without rail interference.

Field Usability Parameters

The ribbed magnification ring operates with 10 in-lbs of rotational resistance to allow fast adjustments while wearing shooting gloves. This compact LPVO optic is not engineered for low-light night stand hunting where 56mm objectives excel, nor for fine benchrest rifle shooting.

• Wipe objective lenses using optical cleaning fluid and microfiber each hunt
• Confirm ring torque limits on rifle mounting hardware every 300 rounds
• Inspect turret cap threads and O-ring seals every 12 months

Verified Warranty Terms

The optic carries Sightron lifetime warranty backing against optical defects, mechanical tracking failures, and housing leaks. Unboxing reveals the 1-6×24 riflescope, protective lens covers, CR2032 battery, lens cloth, hex tool, and factory calibration certification.
