Powered by an infinity-corrected CCIS optical train, it delivers 50x, 100x, 200x, and 500x magnification via four Long Working Distance (LWD) Plan Achromatic LM objectives: 5x/0.13, 10x/0.25, 20x/0.40, and 50x/0.55. That long clearance distance lets technicians scan unmounted metal cross-sections and raw semiconductor substrates without glass coverslips or objective collision risks.
Reflected surface illumination is supplied by an upper EPI attachment housing a high-output 3W LED array with integrated field and aperture diaphragms for glare-free Köhler contrast on reflective alloys. The Motic Light Intensity Indicator (MLLI) system features an LED display ring around the nosepiece that shows active illumination levels.
