Description
The Euromex Oxion OX.3240 Binocular Microscope delivers research-grade brightfield imaging across routine clinical testing facilities and complex veterinary diagnostics benches. Operating with an infinity-corrected IOS optical system, it delivers 40x, 100x, 200x, 400x, and 1000x magnification through five Plan Achromatic objectives: 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, 20x/0.40, spring-loaded S40x/0.65, and spring-loaded S100x/1.25 oil immersion. Flat-field optical correction keeps cellular boundaries sharp right up to the edges of the 22 mm field of view.
Transmitted light is supplied by an energy-efficient 3W NeoLED base lamp, managed by an internal Smart Light Control system that memorizes selected intensity levels per objective lens swap. The 30-degree inclined Siedentopf binocular head carries paired high-eyepoint HWF 10x/22 mm eyepieces across an adjustable 50 mm to 75 mm interpupillary span. The 150 x 140 mm mechanical stage features a ceramic scratch-resistant surface finish (76 x 50 mm XY travel), while coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs feature calibrated 2-micron fine division markings across an overall system weight of 10.4 kg.

IOS Plan Achromatic Optics & Smart Light Control
Infinity-corrected Plan Achromatic optics eliminate spherical field curvature, allowing pathologists to count cells and evaluate stained tissue smears without constantly refocusing between center and edge. The internal Smart Light Control system is a major time-saver in multi-user labs: rotate from low-power 4x scanning up to 100x oil immersion, and the microscope automatically adjusts lamp voltage to your saved preference, preventing blinding glare when returning to low power.
Ceramic Stage Durability & Siedentopf Ergonomics
Standard painted stages scratch easily when abrasive glass slide edges slide across them daily. The ceramic coating on this platform resists scratching, chemical stains, and mechanical wear. The Siedentopf binocular head adjusts interpupillary distance without altering tube length or focal position, while the low-position coaxial XY controls keep your hands resting naturally on the benchtop during all-day screening shifts.
- Ceramic-coated mechanical stage resists scratching and chemical staining from daily slide use
- Smart Light Control memory eliminates sudden glare when switching between objective powers
- Reversed five-position nosepiece keeps slide placement unobstructed and accessible
