Description
Screen mineral thin sections or dissect biological specimens using the Bresser Advance ICD Stereo Microscope complete benchtop optical station. This all-in-one instrument delivers a broad 10x to 160x total magnification range. It pairs a continuously variable 1x to 4x zoom objective core with two sets of widefield eyepieces (WF 10x and WF 20x) and an included 2x auxiliary screw-on lens. That gives you incredible versatility, scaling from wide 10x macro sorting straight up to 160x fine cellular inspection without purchasing extra optical add-ons.
Built around a sturdy 4.2 kg column stand, the Advance ICD features built-in 12V/10W halogen illumination for both incident (top) and transmitted (bottom) light paths. You can run top lighting for rocks and electronics, bottom lighting for translucent pond life, or both together. The 45-degree tilted trinocular head rotates a full 360 degrees and carries a vertical photoport for camera attachment. The coarse focusing block includes a built-in slip clutch to protect your slides from accidental crushing, while working distance tops out at 95 mm to keep manual handling comfortable.
Key Features of Bresser Advance ICD Stereo Microscope
A versatile, fully integrated trinocular stereo zoom microscope system covering 10x to 160x magnification. Features dual halogen illumination, two pairs of eyepieces, a 2x auxiliary lens, and a built-in safety slip clutch for educational and mineralogy labs.
- Expansive 10x to 160x total magnification range with bundled optical accessories
- Continuously variable 1x to 4x stereo zoom objective drive core
- Dual halogen lighting system (12V/10W) with independent incident and transmitted paths
- Includes two pairs of widefield eyepieces (WF 10x, WF 20x) plus a 2x auxiliary lens
- Trinocular head inclined at 45 degrees with 360-degree horizontal rotation
- Built-in safety slip clutch prevents rack-and-pinion gear stripping and slide damage
- Up to 95 mm working distance accommodates bulky geological rocks and petri dishes
- Solid 4.2 kg benchtop column stand powered via standard 230V AC mains connection
10x to 160x Optical Range & Dual Halogen Lighting
Having a 10x to 160x magnification envelope in a single package is rare. Drop the 10x oculars in for botanical dissections, or screw on the 2x auxiliary lens with the 20x oculars to inspect crystal facets and entomological hairs at 160x. The warm-spectrum 12V/10W halogen lamps render organic specimens with authentic color rendition, while the included blue filter cleans up yellow light cast during transmitted-light brightfield observation.
Integrated Column Stand & Focus Slip Clutch
The integrated metal pillar stand keeps everything self-contained, eliminating messy external power bricks and loose cables on your desk. The focusing block operates smoothly, and the built-in slip clutch provides essential protection in multi-user labs: if a student cranks the focus knob past its mechanical travel limit, the clutch slips safely instead of stripping internal teeth or shattering your specimen glass.
- Combined top and bottom halogen illumination highlights surface textures and internal details
- Integrated slip clutch protects focusing gear teeth from over-cranking damage
- Vertical camera channel allows straightforward digital archiving of biological samples
