Operating with an internal rechargeable NiMH battery pack, the Kern OBE 113 Rechargeable Microscope delivers cordless 1000x oil-immersion screening. Powered by a finite 160 mm optical system, it delivers 40x, 100x, 400x, and 1000x magnification via four achromatic objectives: 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, spring-loaded 40x/0.65, and spring-loaded 100x/1.25 oil immersion.

Transmitted light is supplied by a cordless 3W LED module focused through an Abbe 1.25 NA condenser equipped with an iris diaphragm and filter slot.
