ZEISS 10×32 Victory SF Binoculars

Description

Eliminating neck fatigue and slow focus adjustments during all-day songbird tracking, the ZEISS 10×32 Victory SF Binoculars provide high optical resolution and rapid panning performance for demanding field ornithologists. Combining 10x magnification with 32mm objective lenses, this roof prism instrument yields an expansive 391.57-foot linear field of view at 1000 yards (130m at 1000m), an actual angle of view of 7.5 degrees, an apparent angle of view of 69 degrees, a 3.2mm exit pupil, and a comfortable 19mm eye relief for identifying fine feather markings across dense forest canopies.

The optical system features an Ultra-FL optical concept incorporating fluoride (CaF2) SCHOTT glass elements, phase-corrected Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms treated with dielectric mirror coatings, and Zeiss proprietary T* broadband anti-reflective multi-coatings, supplemented by LotuTec hydrophobic exterior lens coatings. Built with an open triple-link bridge around a lightweight magnesium alloy chassis, the body measures 15 by 11.2cm (5.91 x 4.41 Inches) and weighs 590g (20.81 oz). The housing is nitrogen gas purged and O-ring sealed for waterproof integrity up to 400 mbar (4m depth). Mechanical operation utilizes the Smart Focus system, with a center wheel that shifts from a 6.4-foot (1.95m) close focus distance to optical infinity in only 1.6 to 1.8 rotations, complemented by a -4 to +4 right-eye diopter ring, multi-position click-stop eyecups, an interpupillary span from 54mm to 76mm, and the ErgoBalance weight distribution design that shifts mass toward the user oculars.

Key Features of ZEISS 10×32 Victory SF Binoculars

Built for mobile birders and nature photographers, this 10×32 roof prism binocular pairs SCHOTT fluoride glass with dielectric-coated Schmidt-Pechan prisms for color accuracy and edge clarity. Its ErgoBalance weight distribution shifts the center of gravity rearward, reducing wrist fatigue during hours of continuous glassing. The rapid Smart Focus mechanism and wide 391.57-foot field of view allow tracking of darting songbirds across varied habitats.

• 10x magnification power paired with 32mm objective lenses providing detailed subject resolution
• Phase-corrected Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms treated with high-reflectivity dielectric mirror layers
• Ultra-FL optical concept incorporating fluoride SCHOTT glass for neutral color reproduction
• Linear field of view of 391.57 feet at 1000 yards (130m at 1000m) with 7.5-degree actual angle
• Accommodating 19mm eye relief with multi-position twist-up click-stop eyecups for eyeglass wearers
• Agile Smart Focus wheel with a 6.4-foot (1.95m) minimum close focus and -4 to +4 dioptric adjustment
• Nitrogen-filled magnesium alloy chassis waterproof and immersion-sealed to 400 mbar (4m depth)
• ErgoBalance structural design shifting center of gravity toward the oculars for steady hand balance

Ultra-FL Fluoride Glass Concept & Zeiss T* Multi-Coatings

The Ultra-FL system incorporates multiple fluoride SCHOTT glass elements to suppress secondary spectrum chromatic aberrations, eliminating color fringing on high-contrast borders such as raptors soaring against bright overcast skies. Zeiss T* multi-coatings yield a 90% light transmission rate, delivering bright, natural color fidelity when scanning shaded forest floors during dawn and dusk. LotuTec hydrophobic exterior coatings cause rain droplets to roll cleanly off the outer lens surfaces, preserving optical clarity through sudden mountain showers and morning condensation.

ErgoBalance Chassis Geometry & Rapid Smart Focus Wheel

The ErgoBalance design places the prism elements and internal focus assembly closer to the ocular end, preventing front-heavy tipping and allowing the binocular to rest naturally in the hands. The open triple-bridge chassis provides ample space for gloved fingers to wrap around the barrels securely in cold weather. The center Smart Focus wheel requires under two full rotations to travel from its 6.4-foot close focus limit to optical infinity, permitting rapid focal transitions without awkward hand readjustments.

• Smart Focus mechanism providing fast focal adjustments via a heavily textured center wheel
• ErgoBalance magnesium housing balancing weight distribution to minimize arm and wrist strain
• Rotary click-stop eyecups with multiple height positions to maintain stable eye relief settings
